Press Release

Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company Plc (IBEDC), on Friday, felicitated with its customers and other stakeholders on the occasion of Easter, appealing to them to avoid unsafe practices such as illegal connections, overloading of sockets, and mishandling of electrical appliances that could lead to accidents and service disruptions during the celebration period.
The management of IBEDC, in a statement by its spokesperson in Osun State, Mrs. Kikelomo Owooye, stressed: “We also remind our customers of the importance of timely payment of electricity bills to enable us to serve you better.
IBEDC offers various convenient payment options through our online platforms (IBEDC Pay App), banks, and authorized payment agents. We encourage customers to use these channels to avoid interruptions in service.
Additionally, we strongly advise against energy theft, which is not only illegal but also endangers lives and property.
Customers are encouraged to report any suspicious activities related to electricity theft through our customer care channels.
Our offices will remain open, in addition to other customer care channels, during the Easter holidays to facilitate enquiries, complaints, payments, and prompt support.
